When you drink with someone until the pretending stops, roll +the wound you share.
On a hit, something true passes between you. Pick one:
- They give you something they've been carrying: a secret, a debt, a name.
- You learn the shape of what destroyed them, which is also the shape of what is destroying you.
- Gain a Bond that costs something to spend and more to ignore.
On a 7-9, pick one:
- Spend a Composure
- The morning will require an accounting; the GM sets a Clock
On a miss, something true passes between you and it is too much. Not wrong - it's true, completely true, but the kind of true that a relationship can be either before or after, and not both. The GM sets a Clock. Both players look at the Bond they don't have yet and the GM marks it on their behalf, damaged from the start, which is sometimes how the most important ones begin.
