When you read a letter that was not written for you, roll +suspicion.
On a 10+, ask 3. On a 7-9, ask 1. The GM must answer truthfully. Take +1 forward when you act on what you've learned.
- Who is being protected from the truth of this?
- What has already been set in motion that cannot be stopped?
- Which person in this house is more frightened than they appear?
- What would happen to me if I were found to know this?
- Who wrote this believing it would never be read?
- What does this letter want me to do, and whose interests does that serve?
- What is being asked for that cannot be asked for directly?
- Who else has read this, and when?
- What does the writer know about me?
- What truth is being told here that the writer believes is a lie?
